Who We Are
Founded over 70 years ago, Johnston Farms is a fourth-generation family business nestled in the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, near the base of the Tehachapi mountains.
After retiring from the railroad in 1947, J.C. Johnston moved his family from Oregon and successfully bet his life savings on a potato crop. From there, he planted cotton, and in 1962 his sons would purchase the first 80 acres of oranges. Johnston Farms would continue to grow its operations to include a potato packing house in 1955, a citrus packing facility in 1982, and the bell pepper facility in 1990.
